Job Description Overview

The role of the Project Manager within the Door, Frame, and Hardware division of Architectural Concepts, LLC is a multi-faceted customer facing position in which the primary function is high level efficient management of door, frame, and hardware projects in a manner that exceeds customer expectations and fortifies relationships ensuring future opportunities with our valued clients. Project Managers perform under the leadership and direction of senior management, with the support of project engineering, procurement, accounting, and administrative resources.

Successful performance in this role is demonstrated via completion of projects within established deadlines, gross margin targets, with a high level of customer satisfaction.

 

Role Assignments:

  • Comprehensive technical detailing of projects including preparation of submittal documents, RFI’s, estimation of change order proposals, and all related functions.
  • Timely and accurate procurement of project materials including order placement, acknowledgement confirmation, cost verification, and material tracking.
  • Monitoring of financial status of projects including monthly progress billings and project close-out audits.
  • Daily collaboration with internal teams including accounting, estimating, shipping/receiving and other Architectural Concepts, LLC business units.
  • Professional, proactive, and detailed communication with vendors, customers, and site personnel regarding status of project deliverables material status, and installation.
  • Periodic travel as required for site assessments and required meetings.

Candidate Attributes:

  • 5+ years of project management experience in the door, frame, & hardware industry.
  • Education:  4-year degree preferred; appropriate industry experience/DHI education acceptable.
  • Strong technical aptitude and thorough understanding of construction documents.
  • Effective communicator – clear, concise, professional, assertive.
  • Proficient with current software systems and technologies.
  • Team player, desire to learn, strong work ethic, and ability to manage under pressure.
